With nearly 20 years of experience and a degree in Interior Design from Texas State University, Carly’s passion for design started young — sparked by a college class that turned her artistic talents into a lifelong career. Her philosophy? Good design should be classic, timeless, and the perfect balance of form and function.
The Blue Jay Interiors studio, conveniently located near Northpoint Drive and North Eldridge, serves as both a design hub and inspiration space. Clients can browse fabrics, finishes, and samples while collaborating on their dream project. The studio even features a full-service kitchen — thanks to partnerships with Monogram and Cambria — making it an ideal gathering space for creative events and community get-togethers.
When Carly isn’t transforming homes, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their four rescue pets, and staying active with hobbies like baking, painting, volunteering at church, and traveling to find inspiration in nature and architecture.

SPRING IN TOMBALL
Springtime is the perfect season to get outside and explore all the natural beauty Tomball has to offer. Whether your family loves hiking, biking, or simply enjoying the fresh air, there’s something for everyone. Here are 5 outdoor activities to enjoy this spring with the whole family.
1. Explore Burroughs Park
Where: 9738 Hufsmith Rd, Tomball, TX
With over 300 acres of outdoor fun, Burroughs Park is a local gem. Families can hike scenic trails, enjoy a picnic by the lake, or let the kids burn off energy at the playgrounds. There’s even a fishing lake if you’re looking for a relaxing afternoon by the water.
2. Visit the Tomball Railroad Depot Plaza
Where: 201 S Elm St, Tomball, TX
A trip to the historic Tomball Depot is always a fun outing! Kids can check out the vintage trains, play in the open green space, and you might even catch a movie night or festival at this downtown favorite.
3. Play (and Stay!) at Spring Creek Park
Where: 15012 Brown Rd, Tomball, TX
Spring Creek Park has it all — trails, sports fields, playgrounds, and even an archery range. For families wanting a weekend adventure, campsites are available for a full outdoor getaway close to home.
4. Take a Family Bike Ride
Grab your bikes and hit the trails! Tomball offers several family-friendly paved trails, including the Juergen Road Trail and the Tomball Parkway Trail. Pack some snacks, enjoy the fresh air, and explore the area on two wheels.
5. Walk Among Wildflowers at Kleb Woods Nature Preserve

Spring blooms make Kleb Woods the perfect spot for a nature walk. The easy trails are great for little ones, and you can even bring binoculars for birdwatching. Don’t miss the historic farm where the kids can learn a little local history too!

Every second Saturday in March, April, May, September, October, and November, the Tomball Depot will be hosting free movie nights for some of your favorite family-friendly movies. The Depot will be screening “Pokémon” this Saturday March 8th so make sure to bring your whole family for a fun evening. These events will also include arts and other fun activities.
