Holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas bring out the dishes people look forward to all year, and I want to share some of yours in an upcoming issue. If you have a recipe that your family requests every November, send it my way. It can be a dessert, a side, or something that only appears on your table once a year. Tell me why it matters to you, and I’ll feature a few favorites so the whole community can try them.

A QUICK WORD OF ADVISE REGARDING TURKEY FRYING 🦃🍗
Take a moment to watch this: How not to deep-fry your turkey. The oil’s bubbling, the turkey’s dropping, and things go sideways faster than you’d expect.
If you’re planning to fry your bird this Thanksgiving, keep things simple. Dry the turkey well, use the right amount of oil, stay away from overfilled pots, and keep a fire extinguisher close. In our community in Tomball, the oven is the safer bet — unless you’re fully prepped for a backyard spectacle.
