WEEKLY BUSINESS HIGHLIGHT
Mercy House Global

Nestled just minutes from Tomball in Magnolia at 32722 Tamina Rd, Mercy House Global is a ministry that’s quietly changing the world—one life at a time. Founded in 2010 by Kristen Welch and her family, this local nonprofit has grown from a heartfelt vision into a powerhouse of hope, supporting vulnerable women, orphans, and refugees across the globe. What started as a mission to rescue pregnant teens in Kenya has blossomed into a movement that now touches lives in places like Uganda, Guatemala, and beyond.
Step into their Marketplace, and you’ll find more than just beautiful treasures—each piece of handcrafted jewelry, every soy candle, and all the fair-trade home goods tell a story of empowerment. These items are made by artisans who’ve been given a lifeline through dignified work, education, and healthcare, all funded by your purchases. Mercy House Global partners with over 50 artisan groups worldwide, ensuring that every dollar spent here ripples out to provide sustainable change. Last year alone, they impacted over 10,000 lives through their programs, from maternity homes to job training initiatives.
Closer to home, their team hosts workshops, events, and volunteer opportunities right in our community, inviting us all to be part of something bigger. Whether you’re shopping for a gift with meaning or looking to get involved, a visit to mercyhouseglobal.org or their Magnolia location is a chance to see Tomball’s spirit of generosity in action. Drop by, meet the passionate folks behind this mission, and discover how our little corner of Texas is leaving a global legacy of love and empowerment!

🍺🍺Tomball German Heritage Festival

This weekend, March 28-30, Old Town Tomball transforms into a polka-powered paradise for the German Heritage Festival! Think bratwurst so good you’ll yodel, stein-holding contests that’ll test your biceps (and dignity), and enough Oompah music to make your grandma dance a jig. Admission and parking are free, so you can save your euros for schnitzel and a cold one. Dust off those lederhosen—or at least your stretchy pants—and join the Gemütlichkeit at 201 S. Elm Street at the Railroad Depot. Prost to a weekend of laughs, lager, and questionable dance moves! More at tomballgermanfest.org.
